The Lauritz Konsthantverkspris was established by Lauritz.com and is a further deepening of their long partnership with Design S. All projects entered into the Handicrafts & Crafts category are automatically submitted to compete for this award. Lauritz.com’s jury will award innovative pieces of crafts, primarily within ceramics, glass, silver and jewelry art.
The jury looks for an object that radiates a strong design vision, a unique expression and genuine quality with the potential to become a future classic at auction. The winner’s personal design langauge is expected to survive its own time and appeal to future consumers in 25 or more years.
The jury consists of crafts designer Hanna Hansdottor, valuation experts at Stockholm’s Auktionsverk Ulrika Ruding and Anders Fransson as well as co-owner of Lauritz.com and CEO at Stockholms Auktionsverk Mette Rode Sundström.
This category will feature one winner. The winner is awarded an S and a cheque for SEK 20.000.
