Gubbängen’s new electric distribution station is part of the expanded capacity of the Stockholm power grid. In a close collaboration between architect and lighting designer, the building’s perforated facade was designed with integrated lighting, contributing to increased orientability in the area and creating a confidence-inspiring and security-creating element.

Lightbone Floor Lamp
(Oblure)

Lightbone is a decorative floor lamp in solid oak from the design duo Färg & Blanche, inspired by the bamboo forests of Japan. The lamp is available in natural oak and linseed stains of black oak, smoked oak and cobalt blue. Linseed oil has minimal environmental impact, is very durable and completely degradable, offering very good protection for wood. The lamp is switched on and dimmed easily by a rotating fingertip on a recessed brass plate at the end of the top tube.

Sirkka
(Mimmi Blomqvist)

The lamp Sirkka is designed by Mimmi Blomqvist for Svenskt Tenn, and influenced by her Finnish heritage and childhood. A glowing jewel to hang from the ceiling, handmade in opaline glass and brass. The environment, people and materials have all been central to the creative process and she has collaborated with local craftspeople to offer a high-quality product that will last for generations.
