Attach table

With aluminium as a cornerstone, Troels Grum-Schwensen has taken a novel app- roach to developing innovative furniture designs, where gravity locks and stabilises the structure. Together with Lammhults, the designer has taken his philosophy to new heights with a table system that, with just a few simple basic elements, can be adapted to suit any room.

Attach consists of aprons and legs of locally recycled and cast alumi- nium, 90 per cent and 99 per cent respectively. The combination of extruded aluminium in the aprons of the table and the cast aluminium in the legs has allowed Troels Grum-Schwensen to create a very special mounting principle for the table legs, which do not need to be screwed, threaded or twisted into position, but simply attached onto the apron by hand – in a position of choice – to then be locked and stabilised by gravity when the table is placed upright.

Heavy Metal

The Heavy Metal guitar is the world’s first 3D printed aluminium guitar! This guitar was designed to explore what metal 3D printing is capable of, and to better understand the intricacies of the whole process, from “design for additive manufacturing”, to the post-processing that is required to go from a printed metal part straight off the machine to a usable masterpiece. It is also intended to show off aluminium as a sustainable 3D printing material that is capable of making complex engineering quality components.

Now that the quality and efficiency of the LED has come as far as to be used in more demanding contexts such as for shop lighting, we decided to design and develop a collection of spotlights that are classic in expression, uncompromising in design, and have outstanding qualities for distributing the reverse flow of heat that defines high power LED lights.
