Three years ago we set off to build the world’s best music service for brands. The in-store music stage turned out to be more broken than we had anticipated. Companies faced overly complicated licensing, archaic hardware, and very limited music choice. We’ve built a service that enables any company, from small to large, to sign up online, and start playing music within minutes, with the right licences. They get access to the entire Spotify catalogue through a new interface, tailored specifically for the needs of commercial playback. Our ecosystem also features an app for remote control, a growing library of professional music channels, a back end for music curators, and an API so companies can get even more creative with the product. Music can now start to play an essential part of the customer experience, intelligently adapting to trends, time, and environment.
